MESH MASHUP: MESH EDITING & HD RENDERS

The assignment this time was to add render properties to our projects from last assignment. One small issue was, I had been doing that for them, oh well at least it makes this assignment a bit easier. I only need to worry about edit/adjusting some of them and include lighting.

To first start off I edit my polar bear waiting at the bus stop. This time I added a ground and change the direction of sunlight to cast a shadow.

Next here we got my no blocky red snowboarder. What I did this time was change the background to tinted skyblue. What I didn't realize was I didn't finish rendering last time, now that it is there is reflection for on the ground because I use a glass texture, which I think is pretty cool.

My home theater work, rather than the artistic rendering like last time. I assigned materials to the objects, like plastic, metal, and plaster.

For my fourth render, I chose my tentacle out of the sewer. I use the gem texture for the tentacle, specifically aquamarine, to give it a ghostly effect. Also I found out how to import more textures, so I gave the sewer a stone texture to be more realistic.

My buff moai got a different makeover, rather than pink it is now birch and a spotlight that maybe a little too intense. Though I do like it a lot better now.

Lastly I wanted to get a better fire effect for my burning computer, however I couldn't get the right texture to work. The best that I could do at the time was use a water texture and gave it a glow effect. Decent I say.

That's all for this week,
Goodbye~!

MESH MASHUP: CONCEPT GENERATION

The idea was to have a sea creature swimming through the sky like as if it was the ocean. When I was rendering the whale I had no idea how to get rid of the shadows until later on.

My second 3d picture is a snowboarder jumping off a spoon and reaching for the goal post. The spoon was because of it's curvature like a ramp, and I didn't wanted the snowboarder to fly off into oblivion I added a goal post.

Rather then using render again I was exploring other options like ghost and artistic. Here is a sewer monster's tentacle reaching out and grabbing a bunny. The bunny is because lunar new year was close by I wanted to add it in.
My next image is a Polar bear waiting at a bus stop with their kid. This was inspired by the Totoro movie.
I was strolling through popular images and I was a buff Squidward, it made me wanted to work on it. But really I liked the muscles, and thus I looked for a different head. I tried a skull at first but it didn't really worked out. Luckily I found a the Stonehenge head instead, and it came out perfect.
I wanted to use a more modern desktop but this was the best I could find. The idea was computers overheating especially older ones. I remember my old computer would overheat when using drawing programs or playing games.
In at home theater with the movie coming out of the screen like the Ring movie. Pretty simplistic.
The next three images I had trouble. I had no idea why, but on Sunday as I was working on these downloaded files from Thingaverse, I couldn't imported them. Rhino7 could see the files for some reason. What I had to do was restart my computer for Rhino7 to see it. Anyway the image is two large Disney balloons carrying off a garbage truck.
I remember a FamilyGuy episode where the AT-AT was a dog. Now that I'm thinking about it, this is not that original, oops.
The last image here gave me stress. I remember uploading it when I was writing on this site, but when I continued with the other images I somehow deleted and I had no idea when it happened. So I went back into Rhino7 and had to recreate something similar because I was a big dummy and didn't saved the picture nor the file. Anyway, it's a boat in a really big coffee mug. It was suppose to be a well, like the 'frog in a well' saying, but I saw it was near past 12:00 I had to change it up.

I almost forgot, well actually I did forgot. Here is the links to all the 3D images that I downloaded from:

Objectified: Response

I watched the Gary Hustwit's documentary: Objectified and had to choose something in the video and create a 3D object in Tinkercad. What I chose was three watches at 44:35 time stamp. The reason why I chose the watches was because I thought it would be easier side compare to all the rest of the items in the video. Plus I think design-wise they're not half bad, something I might even wear if I was a watch person.

But even when I was making it in Tinkercad I still had difficulties on making my desire shape. I shudder to think what would have happen had I chosen something like a camera or the vacuum. My main problem was making the little knob that turns the hand, specifically the little nots, and the other problem I came to was aligning the hour, minute, and second hand. I took more time on the two problems than I did watching the hour long video. I think I need more time to work on Tinkercad, it feels so different to work on this program, like learning to ride a bike.

However I think my watches aren't too bad.

Goodbye

3D Castle

     1/11/2023

Today in my first class in OBDF110B, we went over the syllabus and the expectations of the class going forward. Right after our first break we started to familiarize ourselves with Tinkercad. As seen in the image I made a castle. It's ok, so so design in my opinion, I saw my peers making these cool look castles though, and I'm really impress by them. I swear they're not strangers to 3D rendering.

Goodbye
